Modern Beauty in Science

It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder but this saying is not applicable nowadays. The media has changed the meaning of beauty for many years now and for many generations the standards of beauty has been changing and evolving into something different from what it was before.

History has taught us that beauty in every culture differs. In ancient China having a "lotus feet" is considered a sign of perfect beauty. For ancient Romans, Persians and Egyptians having sparkling eyes is a must for everyone woman who wants to be considered beautiful. In the Elizabethan era, women shave their forehead in order to have a high forehead. On the onset of the 20th century with the increasing popularity of the cinema women have began using famous celebrities as the basis of good looks.

Nowadays, beauty is not really a subjective view but more of an objective. This is evidenced by the increasing acceptance on modified beauty. Liposuction, lip reduction, tattooed eyebrows, breast augmentation, skin peeling, bleaching, nose lift and laser hair removal are just a few of what women can do in order to achieve their ideal beauty.
